About Us:
"To provide an opportunity for Worship, the study of the Bible, God's Word, and as an outlet for Christian Service." These are three of the reasons a group of Franklin Lakes citizens gathered at 212 Washington Street, Franklin Lakes, NJ, on the evening of March 15, 1950. On that night, Franklin Lakes Gospel Church was formed, which would later be renamed Grace Community Church in July of 1974. Since our beginning we have had eight Pastors to lead us in Worship and tend to our flock. They have all been wonderful men of God each with their own unique gifts and talents and their own style of teaching and preaching. As we continue into the future and await the second coming of our Lord Jesus Christ we are committed to reaching the world and spreading God's Word.
STATEMENT OF FAITH
We believe there is one God, eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
We believe in the Lordship of Jesus Christ, His virgin birth, His sinless life, His miracles, His vicarious and atoning death, His bodily resurrection, His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and His personal, pre-millennial, and imminent return to earth in power and glory to rule and reign.
We believe in the total depravity of all mankind, and in the necessity of regeneration by the Holy Spirit for personal salvation.
We believe the only means of salvation is through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.
We believe in the sanctifying power of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a holy life.
We believe in the bodily resurrection of both the saved and the lost, the one to everlasting life and the other to everlasting damnation.
MISSION STATEMENT
Our mission is to love God and others as well as lead people to Christ.
VISION STATEMENT
Our vision is to have God work through us to provide engaging worship services, relevant Bible studies, and exciting programs, all in prayerful unity.
PHILOSOPHY OF MINISTRY
We believe the only true basis of Christian fellowship is His Agape love, which supercedes any differences we may possess. As a local body of believers, we are passionately committed to making a positive impact for Christ here in our community, and throughout the world.
